Landmark Theatres produces work in multiple ways to maximise artistic impact and reach. We create original in-house productions, co-produce with partners across the UK, and invest in artists and organisations to support the development of new work. Our flexible model allows us to deliver high-quality, scalable theatre while strengthening the wider creative ecosystem through collaboration, innovation, and support for emerging talent.

Our Approach to Producing Work
At Landmark Theatres, we produce work in a range of ways that reflect our flexible, collaborative, and impact-driven ethos. We create original productions solely under the Landmark Theatres banner, allowing us to develop content that directly reflects the communities we serve and the artistic values we champion. These in-house productions are shaped by our mission to bring high-quality theatre to areas of low artistic engagement and are designed with scalability in mind, enabling us to maximise reach and return.

Alongside our own productions, we frequently co-produce work with partner organisations from across the country. These partnerships allow us to pool resources, share expertise, and extend the life and touring potential of new productions. We work with a wide range of collaborators from established national companies to regional producing theatres creating work that is both artistically ambitious and commercially viable. Co-productions enable us to reach new audiences, support sector sustainability, and foster a culture of collaboration and shared learning.

We also play an active role in the wider creative ecosystem by investing in independent artists and emerging companies. Through commissions, development support, residencies, and access to our spaces and infrastructure, we help artists bring new ideas to life. In doing so, we strengthen the pipeline of talent and innovation within the industry, particularly in areas that have traditionally lacked support and visibility.

Our producing model is underpinned by a commitment to artistic excellence, access, and sustainability. Whether we are originating work, collaborating with partners, or supporting the next generation of theatre makers, our aim is the same: to produce theatre of the highest quality that resonates with local audiences, drives innovation, and leaves a lasting legacy in the communities we serve.
