Officially opened in 1997, its striking twin conical design quickly became a modern icon on the seafront — bringing a bold new architectural identity to the Victorian coastal town.
Built on the site of the former Pavilion Theatre, The Landmark was designed to inspire a new era of arts, entertainment and community engagement. Since then, it has played a central role in revitalising the local arts scene, offering a vibrant programme of live performance, music, comedy, drama and family entertainment.

At the heart of the building is the welcoming Landmark Café, a stylish and dog-friendly spot loved by locals and visitors alike. Serving barista coffee, fresh cakes, light bites, and hearty Devon pasties, it’s the perfect place to relax — with water bowls and free treats for four-legged friends, too.

Whether you’re enjoying a show, meeting friends for lunch, or simply soaking up the coastal views, The Landmark continues to be a cherished hub for culture, connection and creativity in North Devon.
